With towns not far away, the coniferous forests and the mountain pastures with their fine views provide the setting for many outdoor activities, in summer and in winter, for the whole family. The three village ski-resorts are complementary: St François de Sales has an intimate and almost secret atmosphere; it also has a rare high-altitude peat bog; the grandiose landscapes and natural heritage of the Revard, one of the very best sites for cross-country skiing in France, and finally the atmosphere of a ski-resort at la Féclaz, with its wide range of activities.
