The Hills of the Chéran River

At the foot of the mountains of the Revard and Semnoz, the Albanais landscape spreads out on hills of molasse sedimentary rock, on either side of the gorges of the Chéran, audaciously crossed by a bridge, the Pont de l'Abîme. This region used to be the wheat granary for Savoie and is still predominantly agricultural; its milk-producing tradition continues strongly today, with several dynamic milk cooperatives.
