Rivers and Sources of Lake AnnecyThe catchment basin of Faverges stretches from the summits of the Bauges, from where its crystalline torrents and rivers take their source of pure water, to the welcoming banks of Lake Annecy. Considerable amounts of archaeological remains have been revealed, and the wide Laudon valley occupies the whole of this side of the lake, an excellent place for holidays, with swimming and water activities as well as hikes and walks to discover the landscape. From the reed marshes at the end of the lake (the Bout du Lac) in the Hautes Bauges National Reserve, there are fine views on the lake and the ever-changing landscape.
